Utrecht, 13 May 2025: The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) today announces its newest Accredited Partner, Climative, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform accelerating the decarbonization of the built environment. The Canada-based organization is the first North American PCAF Accredited Partner that specializes in enabling portfolio-wide financed emissions and loan origination reporting for residential and commercial real estate assets.

Climative revolutionizes energy transition data through AI-driven building assessment and helps governments, utilities, and financial services organizations collaborate and provide their customers with more cost-effective low-carbon solutions. Its AI-powered platform generates building-level Scope 1 and 2 emissions data up to 300 times faster and at one-tenth the cost of traditional methods, helping banks, insurers, and asset managers meet climate disclosure requirements and develop climate-aligned products.

By partnering with PCAF, Climative strengthens its commitment to delivering transparent and scalable carbon accounting for the financial sector. They aim to support PCAF North American signatories with an efficient system for automating financed emissions tracking to speed up Scope 3 emissions reporting and align financial products with climate standards, especially in mortgage, real estate, and insurance sectors.

"We’re really pleased to welcome Climative as our latest Accredited Partner. We look forward to supporting them in promoting adoption of the PCAF Standard and practices for measuring and managing emissions from financial activities across North America."

Bart van Lunteren, PCAF Accredited Partner Lead

"Climative was founded on the belief that trustworthy, scalable energy transition data is essential to driving real climate action. Achieving PCAF accreditation affirms our commitment to empowering financial institutions with the tools they need to meet the urgency of the climate transition. It also unlocks a global opportunity: to capitalize on the trillions of dollars that must be mobilized to finance sustainable, resilient buildings and accelerate the path to net-zero. Together, we are helping build a financial sector that is measurable, transparent, and truly aligned with a climate-friendly future."
