Utrecht, 03 February 2025: The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) today announces a new collaboration with Pantas Software Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s leading provider of carbon emissions and ESG management solutions. Pantas is on track to become the first software platform in Asia to achieve accreditation as a PCAF partner, meeting the growing demand for tailored GHG accounting and ESG solutions across Asia.
Malaysia’s sustainable finance ecosystem is evolving rapidly, driven by initiatives such as the Greening Value Chain (GVC) program, led by the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia), to decarbonize supply chains and achieve the country’s net-zero aspirations by 2050. As the only homegrown software platform provider of carbon emissions and ESG management solutions with financed emissions capabilities, Pantas plays a crucial role in helping local financial institutions seamlessly measure and report their financed emissions.
Achieving PCAF accreditation will reinforce Pantas’s commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and expertise to facilitate sustainable finance across Asia. Accreditation will allow it to empower financial institutions to adopt the PCAF Standard with confidence, enhancing their ability to measure, manage, and disclose GHG emissions associated with financial activities effectively.
"Becoming the first accredited PCAF software platform partner in Asia will underscore Pantas’ commitment to empowering financial institutions with advanced tools to measure, manage, and report financed emissions while driving actionable accountability. By supporting banks and asset managers in guiding their clients and investments toward measurable goals, we amplify the region’s transition to a low-carbon future. This milestone solidifies our role as a catalyst for sustainability in Asia’s financial sector, helping shape a more accountable and impactful path forward,”
Max Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Pantas.
"Malaysia continues to be a standard bearer of Asia’s sustainability efforts, so we’re pleased to partner with another organization who is dedicated to making a difference in the region. We look forward to guiding Pantas through the process of becoming an accredited PCAF partner, equipping them with the training and resources to support the regions financial sector.”

About PCAF
The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) was launched globally in September 2019. Currently, more than 570 banks and investors have subscribed to the PCAF initiative. PCAF participants work together to jointly develop the Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry to measure and disclose the greenhouse gas emissions of their loans and investments. By doing so, PCAF participants take an important step to subsequently assess climate-related risks, set climate targets and develop effective strategies to decarbonize their portfolios.
