Utrecht, 28th March 2025: The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) today announces its newest Accredited Partner, WollemAI, the Australia-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. They are the first PCAF Accredited Partner focused on driving climate resilience in the land and agricultural sector.

With the evolving regulatory landscape for financial disclosures across Asia-Pacific, the partnership comes at a pivotal time. Aligning with PCAF will enable WollemAI to further commit to a unified standard for the financial services sector, ensuring strong data traceability, as well as continuous improvements in quality.

The partnership will provide advantages to PCAF’s existing regional signatories and explore automated emissions tracking for finance and insurance sectors, in line with the increasing demands for climate-related disclosures. Additionally, it will streamline the reporting process, making it more accurate, efficient and cost-effective for new PCAF signatories working with WollemAI.

“It’s great to see WollemAI achieve another milestone on its accreditation journey with PCAF. We are pleased to work with an organization striving to support a unified standard for the financial services sector and promote best practice within the land and agriculture sector in Asia-Pacific.”
Bart van Lunteren, Accredited Partner Lead, PCAF

"Our partnership with PCAF underscores the importance of a credible, standardized approach to climate financial risk metrics—the most effective tool for asset owners and managers navigating climate risk volatility. By leveraging AI and scientific innovation, we are enhancing risk assessment capabilities in land and agriculture and accelerating data quality in emissions and other climate risk reporting."
Sam Sneddon CEO at WollemAI

WollemAI has announced several key pilot programmes with Australian financial services companies and has recently joined the B-Corp community as a B-Corp accredited company. To achieve a B-Corp certification, a company must meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

About PCAF

The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) was launched globally in September 2019. Currently, more than 570 banks and investors have subscribed to the PCAF initiative. PCAF signatories work together to jointly develop the Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry to measure and disclose the greenhouse gas emissions associated with their financial activities. By doing so, PCAF signatories take an important step to subsequently assess climate-related risks, set climate targets and develop effective strategies to decarbonize their portfolios.
